It feels pretty sweet when you score designer duds at thrifty prices. Which is what happened this past week, thanks to the super-duper flea market-esque sale Model Citizens had on the go. As much as we drool over what walks down the runways at Fashion Week, our lifestyle just doesn’t support that kinda price tag, haha. (We’ve actually walked away from a couple dresses at Value Village because they were “too expensive”.)
So Jana was preeeeety stoked when the Nanette Lepore dress she’d been eyeballing was marked down at Model Citizens. (Thanks, MLT!) The dress is the perfect weight for layering with a turtleneck and tights. (Again, thanks for the suggestion MLT!)
Nanette Lepore Dress: Secondhand from Model Citizens in St. John’s
Turtleneck: Thrifted from the Salvation Army Thrift Shop.
Aldo Hat: Value Village
Shoes: Vintage, picked up at the Helping Hand in Bay Roberts (I legit think they were $1.00)
Jess scored a beauty piece from Model Citizens, too. She’d been on the lookout for either a tight black lace top or a black mesh top. Well, this one’s both! Looks so perfect with denim shorts:
Sheer Lace Top: Secondhand from Model Citizens.
TopShop Denim Shorts: Thrifted from Value Village in St. John’s.
Shoes: Also from Value Village, but the one in Nanaimo, BC.
